Torture? Oh please.

On the issue of torture, as expressed recently by left-wing, t-bagging, Obamabots, I have to agree somewhat with Reggie Green:

"However, that we live in a society capable of public introspection may be just good enough, for now, especially with other issues on our plate."

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, one of the three (3) who was the subject of 'enhanced interrogation' was caught red handed. A computer hard drive seized during the capture of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed contained the following:

  1. information about the four airplanes hijacked on 11 September 2001
  2. a document that listed the pilot license fees for Mohammad Atta
  3. photographs of 19 individuals identified as the 11 September 2001 hijackers
  4. a document that summarized operational procedures and training requirements of an al Qaida cell
  5. three letters from Usama bin Laden

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was held in a secret facility in Poland near Szymany Airport...where the waterboarding was applied.et al

He was given a hearing after which he plead guilty to masterminding 9/11.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed had all of this and more on a computer, had a hearing, plead guilty, and you want to do what? Undo it all, prosecute Justice Department Lawyers, and let him go? Please.

Meanwhile, Barack Hussein Obama II just ordered the execution of 3 Somali teenagers in a stand off near his birthplace in Mombasa, but you don't hear the left-wing teabaggers complaining about that.

Show me a photo of the pirates with their heads sticking out of the life boat while their guns are pointed at the captians back (a near impossible feat on choppy waters) and then we'll talk. Explain to me where they were going to run while their boat was tied to the USS Bainbridge and they were 300 miles out in the middle of the sea.

Though a threat to property, the pirates, have yet to take anyone's life. So was deadly force necessary? Check the 'rules of engagement'.

Hypocrites, all.

What Obama should do is turn the terror suspects over to Islamic nations so that they may prosecute them with the punishment for Hirabah. The only problem, however, is that we may be the guilty party.

Hirabah
Hirābah (
Arabic: حرابة‎) is an Arabic word for “piracy”, or “unlawful warfare”. Hirabah comes from the root hariba, which means “to become angry and enraged”. The noun harb (حرب, pl. hurub حروب) means “war” and/or “enemy.”[1] One who commits hirabah would be a hirabi.

Punishment for Hirabah
The Qur'an commands strict punishment for those who spread disorder in land.
[2] As it is in the Qur'an:

The punishments of those who wage war against Allah and His Prophet and strive to spread disorder in the land are to execute them in an exemplary way or to crucify them or to amputate their hands and feet from opposite sides or to banish them from the land. Such is their disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter theirs will be an awful doom save those who repent before you overpower them; you should know that Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Ever Merciful.

Qur'an, [Qur'an 5:33]

According to these verses, the punishment for spreading disorder in land is:

  1. Taqtil (تقتيل:execution that serves a severe warning to others i.e. stoning)
  2. Taslib (تصليب:Crucifixion)
  3. Amputating limbs from opposite sides
  4. Nafi (نفى:Exile)

A Judge can give any of these punishments depending on the severity of the crime and condition of the criminal. These punishments can be prescribed for any crime that can threaten the society at large. Examples of these crimes are robbery (unlike theft which has a different punishment), rape, and terrorism.[2]
